We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Rotarian Louis J. Brousseau, a devoted and longstanding member of the Brentwood Rotary Club who lived a life committed to service

Louis was introduced to Rotary as a child through the Jamaica Queens Rotary Club, sparking a lifelong passion for service. He officially joined the Brentwood Rotary Club in July 1969, and remained a dedicated and active member throughout his life.

Lou held many leadership roles within the club, including President, Membership Chair, Gift of Life Chair, Sgt At Arms, and most recently, Foundation Chair, a position he held numerous times. Lou was a Paul Harris Fellow +10 and a Paul Harris Sustaining Member, showing unwavering support to the Rotary Foundation and its mission.

Lou was a devoted supporter of District 7255 and its initiatives, staying actively involved, attending and participating in District meetings even after the merger of Districts 7250 and 7260. His commitment exemplified Rotary's values and his unwavering dedication as the organization evolved. His devotion to the Rotary Foundation and his club was evident in his continued commitment to helping others.

He was always shared interesting anecdotes of his time in Rotary and other life experiences that affected or influenced him. Lou was a true gentleman, and his warm smile and sense of humor were always welcoming, instantly putting others at ease. Rose, Lou's loving and devoted wife of 62 years, has served alongside Lou in the Brentwood Club, and we offer her our sincere and deepest condolences. May Lou Rest in Peace. We will certainly miss him.

Lou's legacy of service, kindness, and humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
