Greetings Fellow Rotarians:

DG Gwenn and District 7255 are off to a roaring start since her installation. She is tirelessly working to invigorate all of the District’s efforts. The District is full of new ideas and a palpable energy. We are holding our regular District meetings and I would like to give special thanks to Patricia McCarthy for keeping the District’s minutes and for relaying them to leadership.

Just a few requests, if I may. PDG Irving Toliver is spearheading an initiative to recruit new members and has started the process of starting a few new clubs in the District. I am sure he can use his fellow Rotarian’s help and support. Please, if you know of anyone who would like to join, contact him. We always need new members.

PDG Arnie Quaranta conducts regular meetings on the Rotary Foundation. He could use help and support as well. Any and all contributions to the Foundation are appreciated. Please be generous. If you are aware of anyone who would like to donate, including Non-Rotarians, by way of bequest or from their retirement annuity, feel free to contact him. He needs the help and support of every member of District 7255.

PDG Gabor is currently heading the vocational training teams. We will have teams visiting the United Kingdom and Australia. We also expect a visiting team from India. He needs assistance in hosting our visitors.

Also, you are invited to attend Rotary International U.N. Day, to be held at the United Nations Saturday, November 2. The program begins at 9:30 AM. We have a long and storied history together. Tickets are selling fast. Please register as soon as possible.

And finally, we have an upcoming “Black Tie” event on Sunday, November 3 at the Woodlands in Melville, NY. President-Elect Gary Huang will be joining us. The Membership Chair and DG have made arrangements to induct new members in the presence of President-Elect Gary. It is a unique opportunity for everyone to attend and to bring new members.

As always, please continue to support our new Governor. Remember, “Engage Rotary and Change Lives”. The possibilities are endless.

Kind regards,
