About The Conference

Join us for our annual District Conference, where you'll experience a weekend of fun, fellowship, and the Magic of Rotary! The conference will take place a breezy two hours away at Water's Edge Resort and Spa in Westbrook, CT from Friday, April 25th to Sunday, April 27th, 2025. 

We'll come together to increase our impact, expand our reach, enhance participant engagement, and increase our ability to adapt. Through fun and informative sessions, we'll celebrate our clubs' achievements, foster collaboration, and learn more about Rotary in District 7255 and beyond! 

Why attend District Conference? It's an opportunity to connect with Rotarians around the District, connect with Rotary Youth Exchange Students, RYLArians, and Interact Students, learn about the larger impact of Rotary and what you can do to make a difference, discover new project ideas, make new friends and enjoy fellowship with old ones!

Water's Edge Resort and Spa is family friendly, and we encourage Rotarians to bring their spouses, partners and family members along for the weekend! The resort has plenty of amenities for all ages, including a spa, salon, indoor pool, private beach, tennis court, live music and entertainment, fine dining and much more!

 

Conference Fee includes Friday Dinner, Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and Sunday Brunch. It does not include spa services or hotel costs.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
Hotel reservations and cost are not included in conference registration and fee. You must book your stay DIRECTLY with the hotel at the link below. The room block rate is $310/night, single or double.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment options for the conference fee of $400 ($500 if registering after 12/15/24) are as follows:

TO PAY BY ZELLE: send your fee to 631-806-7516. In the memo, include all attendee names. (Scan the QR code to send the fee directly through the Zelle app or access Zelle through your typical banking app.)

TO PAY BY CHECK: Please be sure to write all attendee names on your check. Mail your check, payable to "District 7255 District Conference," to Mel Ellwood, 384 Newton Ave., Riverhead, NY 11901. 

TRANSPORTATION & DIRECTIONS

Water’s Edge Resort & Spa is at Exit 65, off I-95 in Westbrook, Connecticut and is accessible by all major forms of transportation, including car and ferry. 

Driving Directions: Interstate 95 North to Connecticut Exit 65. Right turn at exit ramp to second stop light in center of town. Left onto Route 1 North (Boston Post Road). Go up about half a mile. Water's Edge entrance will be on your right. From NYC, approximately 100 miles and two hours driving time.

Ferry via Port Jefferson Ferry: Leave from Port Jefferson Harbor, 102 W Broadway, Port Jefferson, NY 11777, with a sailing time of one hour and 15 minutes. Follow Interstate 95 North to Connecticut Exit 65. Right turn at exit ramp to second stop light in center of town. Left onto Route 1 North (Boston Post Road). Go up about half a mile. Water's Edge entrance will be on your right. From Bridgeport Harbor, approximately 45 miles and 50 minutes driving time.
 
Ferries leave every hour, one-way tickets are $76 for Car & Driver, $23 for walk-ons 13-59, $20 for Seniors 60+, and Free for children under 12.
 
 
Ferry via Cross Sound Ferry in Orient Point: Leave from Orient Point, 41270 Main Road, Orient, NY 11957, with a sailing time of one hour and 20 minutes. Follow Interstate 95 North to Connecticut Exit 66. Turn Left onto CT-166/Spencer Plain Rd. Turn Right after Wayback Burgers onto RT 1. Drive 1.3 miles down the road. Water's Edge entrance will be on your left. From New London Harbor, approximately 22 miles and 30 minutes driving time.
 
Ferries leave every hour, one-way tickets are $70 for Car & Driver, $22 for walk-ons, and 7.50 for children under 12.
