What's Happening Around the District
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rotarian Janice Diana Graf, a member of the Passport Rotary Club and a cherished member of our Rotary family.

Janice joined the Moriches Rotary Club in 2004 and went on to spearhead the chartering of the Passport Club of Rotary District 7255 in 2019, proudly serving as president of both clubs. Her commitment extended to the District level, where she served as an Assistant Governor, the inbound student chair for the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, and the Interact advisor at Center Moriches High School.

Janice's contributions to Rotary and her community were immeasurable. She truly lived the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self," and her legacy of kindness, compassion and service will live on through the countless projects she led and people she touched.

Visit Janice's memorial page to share a memory or send condolences to the family, read the obituary, and find the upcoming events.

District 7255 is taking action in response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. We are allocating funds from our Disaster Relief Fund to support the relief efforts organized by Rotary Districts 33 and 34, which serve the Southeastern, Mid-Atlantic, and Caribbean regions.

Recognizing that the cleanup and restoration process will be long-term, and with Hurricane Milton approaching Florida, we are committed to providing ongoing support. Following the Regional Meetings this Saturday, a Rotarian has volunteered to lead our efforts in assisting those affected. More details will be shared soon.

We are People of Action and living on an island we know first hand how catastrophic weather events like this can be. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disaster.

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Debbie Moschello, a beloved member of the Seatuck Cove Rotary Club, this past weekend. Debbie was not only a dedicated nurse at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck but also a former member of the Moriches Rotary Club.

Family and friends are invited to honor her memory at Robertaccio Funeral Home, 495 Main Street, Center Moriches, on Tuesday, October 8, and Wednesday, October 9.

The District extends heartfelt condolences to the Moschello family and the members of the Seatuck Cove Rotary Club during this difficult time.
